How to compress PDF
- Select the PDF you want to make smaller.
- Choose a compression level. Recommended works well for most documents.
- Click Compress PDF and download the smaller file.
Many websites and email services limit attachment size. Scanned documents and PDFs full of photos are often much larger than they need to be. Our compressor re-saves every page as an optimised image, which can shrink scanned files dramatically.
Because pages become images, text in the compressed file cannot be selected or searched. Keep your original file if you need that. If a document is already small and optimised, we will tell you and keep the original.
