Your files

Most tools (such as merge, split, compress, rotate, page numbers, watermark, crop, organize and sign) work locally in your web browser. Files you use with these tools are not uploaded to our servers.

Some tools need software that only runs on a server: Word, Excel, PowerPoint and HTML conversions, PDF to Word/Excel/PowerPoint, PDF/A, OCR, repair, protect and unlock. When you use one of these, your file (and any password you type) is sent over an encrypted HTTPS connection to our server, processed automatically, and deleted immediately after the result is returned to you. No person looks at your files, we do not keep copies, and we never share them. Passwords are used only for that one conversion and are never stored.

Like most websites, our web server keeps standard access logs, which may include your IP address, browser type, pages visited and the date and time of your visit. We use these logs only to keep the Site secure and working, and we delete them regularly.
